My partner got his invitation letter today too!! He also applied in July 2012.

Yes, it says in the last sentence at the bottom, that 1000 candidates will be participating the ceremony.

I received an orange/pink invitation letter last Friday... for 11:05am

Application Applied : 29 June 2012 (5 years residency stamp 4)
Acknowledgment: 13 July 2012
Letter of approval: 24 May 2013
Documents submitted: 27 May 2013
Invitation letter : 07 June 2013
Ceremony: 4th July 2013

The letter did mention 1,000 people will be attending the ceremony, though due to the number of times slots for the day (9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm etc) I think there could be 1,000 people per ceremony time slot. This means there could be well over 5,000-7,000 people becoming citizens on 4th July!

I think a big citizenship ceremony is plausible as it'd be a huge marketing tool for Ireland especially as it's the 4th July and the year of The Gathering. What a way to advertise Ireland to the world!

No, the logic behind the time is those on every same colour paper is one section so if there are three colour paper so far, then is 3 section, not the time on it the on your letter simply means your arrival time

Thanks very much, Mred1. Very kind of you. Please, kindly let me know whenever you get any news. When will you begin to write INIS to enquire about the status of your application- July or August?

IT was a long dreadful wait. 20 months. every time i was told waiting for garda report. AND I HAVE NO RECORD!!!!!!

i never believed anything they said over the phone. at times i was given wrong information.
it really depends on ur luck, if the person is nice or not.
june 2012 i was told its with minister. which was a lie.
personally email was better. carmel ryan gives a standard copy paste response every time.

now wait starts for the next ceremony. atleast now its done and dusted. got to be a little bit more patient.

Wow so your application only took less than 60 days for approval? is your spouse a born irish citizen or naturalised irish citizen?

No. I meant 04/02/2013
It only took 7weeks to get approval and when l get my certificate on the 04/07/2013. That means everything (application, approval and certificate) only took 5month.
Thanks
