UKBA recommend not starting work until leave has been granted. Additionally, they advise you to wait until the BRP has been received. It may be that there are mistakes on the BRP and until you have it, you do not have proof of the right to work in the UK.

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... biometric/

"Your biometric residence permit is evidence of your permission to stay in the UK, and shows the conditions of your stay. It enables you to confirm your identity and your right to study and/or work here, and to access public services.

You must show the permit to your employer or approved education provider before you start to work or study."

Correct, would recommend same day application at PEO if you don't want to wait longer

thx so guys.

so what u guys are saying is until he receives his BRP for the new sponsor he can't work for him.

is it just bcoz he has lost his job - or just curious if somebody was with sponsor 1 and want to work for sponsor 2 - they need to wait until sponsor 2 BRP is received .cortrect ?

Correct. I was just in the position for 10 months. Have just started with my new employer.
