child is british, just send passport form, permanent resident card and your passport, pictures and fee and you will get child passport.you can explain that child is british because was born to settled person but they aware of this, I did apply for my kids passports using the same route. it was so easy.laima123 wrote:i am eu citzen with perment resident my baby born after i got my resident card . my partner is non eea with 5 resident

We did the same.my husband is Eu citizen with eea 3 card.but he is also naturalized now.we sent:baby birth certificate, application form, photos, mother n father passports,eea3 card and I'm not sure but someone on this forum, told me that he sent 5 years of proof of residency such as p60 or bank statements or bills.we didn't sent any proof of residency coz I guess the naturalization certificate of my husband, cover it all. I also put in a cover letter.if ur wife has changed name after marriage, marriage certificate also should b sent. Also,we didn't put any grandparents details and it was sent by special delivery only.good luck.laima123 wrote:i am eu citzen with perment resident my baby born after i got my resident card . my partner is non eea with 5 resident

thanks i will do exactlly what y saidboloney wrote:don`t be bothered, I have applied for child passport in 2010 and then in 2011. only submitted my passport, my pr card, marriage certificate (was`t necessary) passport form and 2 photos.you can write covering letter, just mention in it section 1(1) of British Nationality Act 1981. if you did`t have pr card than yes you would have to send a lot of documents, idea of pr card is that someone can send documents once and than use pr card. otherwise it will be useless.few weeks ago I have applied for naturalization for myself and only submitted my passport and pr card as proof of residency.
I did`t use post office C&S because lady behind the counter was asking me where is my British Passport to support my child application, so she did`t know what she was doing, than I told her to send it as next day delivery. I would suggest you do the same, that gonna save you getting confused again, and again.trust me this patch was tested by many people by now. as long you have Permanent resident card issued by Home Office before child was born you will be fine.
