Document certification service (Royal mail)

Post by Jackc » Wed Feb 27, 2013 11:11 am

Hello,

When applying naturalization, can I use Document certification service by Royal mail to check my foreign passport so I can keep it in case I need travelling? The reason I ask is it is cheaper than NCS. Royal mail charges £7 person.

Thanks for reply in advance.

No but you can use a lawyer and it won't cost much.

I believe it is £7.15 per 3 documents (max). You may need to get your entire passport photocopied and certfied (as UKBA may check various entry and exit stamps) - so this option may not be cheaper cost wise. Plus you have to consider additional posting cost as well.
