Child Dependant- is passport of both parents needed?

Post by anubhav78 » Wed Feb 27, 2013 3:40 pm

Hi,
Me and my wife, both have tier 1 general, with different expiry dates.
I have to go for a second extension of my visa, whereas my wife would complete 5 years on her 1st extension.
I am now in the process of applying for the dependent visa for our 5 month old (of course as a dependent to my wife, to avoid another extension for him). My question:
Do I need to submit the passports of both me and my wife? The current timelines for postal applications is around 5 months. I would be needing my passport by that time for my own extension.
Can't I just send my wife's passport and copies of my passport and BRP.

Thanks
