application date for an is it date of ilr letter or biometri

Hi,

Could anyone please confirma that the application date for ILR would it be the date on ILR letter or the date on Biometric card as the card issued 10 days after the letter so the 12 months qualifying period ends on the date on letter or the later date i.e. biometric date?

Could anyone please confirm.
