To be honest...I wouldn't know! But it sounds like you've (well, your MP at least) got some open communication - so that has to be a good thing!

There's an automated reply, however I believe it was his office that escalated my complaint with the European Casework team.

Hi Hubba, how do you mean by formal complaint? did you write to them or emailed and to who? address and email addresses please?
sara1991 wrote:Hi Hubba thanks for your reply, can u help me more with a detailed process please? What email did you use to complain? How long did it take for them to respond and what was the complain about? It is because the delay?

Hope i'm not asking too much
At the time (mind you this was back in 2009), it involved sending a complaint form to NWCSU@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk. I don't think this email is still enabled, though. I guess today such complaint would be sent to UKBACustomerComplaints@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk. I'd also send a hard copy by signed for mail to:

UKBA Complaints Allocation Hub
Lunar House
Wellesley Road
Croydon
CR9 2BY

I know this is not helping much, since people have already tried using this method. The complaint was about the delay. My EEA2 application was 7 months old when I've complained about it. Got a reply from the complaints department one day after the complaint and a letter from the caseworker about a week after that.

Cheers.

Hubba, did they tell you in their response when you're supposed to receive a decision? If not, what did they say then?

I sent an email to Rob Whiteman and copied my MP and also the ukba complaints email.I only got an acknowledgement email from my MP telling me i will hear from her soon.
But funny enough,i got a reply from rob whiteman in 7days time assuring me i will get a decision by early next week.So i m not sure if the MP did something or it was my original complaint that done the trick.
Anyway i ll say prayer before everything is the key!

Nope, they've only told me the caseworker would be contacting me soon, which she did, around 8 days later.

Common stuff about the process (asking further documentation,etc.). Basically she started dealing with it.

Hi kofi75, as it has been a week, have you received an answer yet? the reason I'm asking is, I was told I will be receiving an answer with in 4 weeks and now already 2 weeks gone and 2 weeks left, thanks.
I hope you already have heard something, good luck.
Applied for EEA4 on 24/02/2012.
HO received on 27/02/2012.
Refusal received on 16/08/2012 dated 11/08/2012
At the court, the HO REP withdrawn the decision and asked me to send the DOC for the time before marriage.
