ilr

Post by okello » Mon Mar 04, 2013 10:14 pm

Just s quick question, can I apply for ilr for my dependents who have been with me for 7 and 8 years rather than first using flr(m) first before applying for ilr

I had plans to apply for my spouse visa using flr(m). She has been on a psw dependant visa but have spent 9 years in UK continously. I have read in this forum some people have successfully applied for ils uding set(m) rather than first using flr(m). The problem is that I will do postal application, can I then submit 2 filled applications (flr(m) and set(m) and write a cover letter with an explanation. I the application might be sent back yet the leave is due to expire. Please advise

No. However, they may vary an undecided in-time valid FLR(M) to SET(O) when eligible under Long Residence.

I however have that of my son which I applied separately though the BRP had expired, having considered that he was born here and therefore the rules for overstaying his visa would not apply, if I ham to be correct here, someone can advse.
Once again, this forum is a good learning platform and will always consult

Ilr

Somewhere it says they can extend for another 30 months after expiry of current leave before applying for settlement. My wife has been in UK since 2004 and daughter since 2006 legally as my dependants. My understanding is that they have spent more than 5 years though under dependant visa. Can someone shed light if I can go ahead and apply for ilr set(m) or is any rule which can stop me or make me wait for another 5 yrs. Please help here

Two questions please moderator,
1.I got my ILR in may last year and believe I can apply for a British Passport. This was based on 10 year (ILR) application. Can I apply now and which form should I use? What any other requirement is needed?
2. My wife and daughter has been my dependants back to the days I was a student till I got my ILR. She has already made 10 years but my daughter has made 8 years. My wife still has to do life in the UK test. I am wondering if she should apply based on 10 year rule or as my dependant, which is cheaper and using which form? what about my daughter as I already have ILR but she was not born here. Please advice on the forma as well. my daughter is 13 yrs.

I have spent 1 year after getting my ILR. My question is can I apply for a UK passport and which form should I use?

My wife and daughter have been my dependants back since I was a student. Last year they both got extension for 3 years to 2015. My wife just made 10 years in the UK while my daughter has made 8 years and she is 13. My wife is still to sit for her life in the UK test. I need advice on the form to use for my wife. Is it cheaper to apply under dependant or on the 10 year rule. Can someone please advice.

Hi
Set (LR) for your wife on this basis of 10 years continuous residency.

Your daughter need 2 more years to complete her 10 years to eligible for ILR.

Yes u can apply for BC after 1 year of ILR.

Hi Zee,
My daughter was born in Uganda and she came when she is 4 yrs. I was asking about the cost and procedure between them applying as my dependants since I have ILR of the 10 year rule.
Can't I apply for indefinite leave for my daughter despite the fact that she has not yet made 10 years?

Can someone help,
I am applying for naturalisation form (AN) after getting my ilr last year march.
My question is, can I also apply on form MN1for my daughter and send together with mine? She was born in Uganda and she is 13 having lived here for 8 years. I had her and mothers extension up to 2015 (3 yrs) after getting my ilr. I read about children born abroad to parents applying for British citizenship and seem to suggest so. Please help.

Just got acknowledgement letter from HO regarding my application for naturalisation. It has become evident that I have to travel, yet all travel documents was submitted with the application.
Can I request for the travel documents and the application is still processed? The money was already taken.

Dear Moderator,
I got my British passport in December 14 through naturalization. My wife and daughter have been my dependents. My daughter was born abroad and she is 14. My wife has just applied for ILR through long stay route (10 years) SET (LR)
My question is which route (application) can I use for my daughters ILR? Can I apply for a passport straight? Please advice

If daughter has been in the UK for at least 10 years, then SET(LR). Or after mother is granted ILR, then SET(F).
