Reprint of visa

Post by gilbutre » Wed Mar 06, 2013 10:42 am

Hi everyone,

I'm a EEA national, my wife is a non-EEA national who obtained a resident card . However she lost her resident card.

We sent a letter to the Home Office asking them if a reprint of the visa was possible. They replied, in essence : "we'll think about it and reply to you within 6 months".

It's possible therefore that they say "no" in 6 months, forcing us to make a fresh application and wait 6 more months (or more) for the result of the application.

My question is: can we directly make a fresh application now? May this "cancel" a potential acceptance of them to reprint the lost visa, or are these 2 parallel things?
