Missing 1 entry in Employment History

Post by mnagesh » Thu Mar 07, 2013 9:01 pm

Hi Experts,

I just got my employment history and noticed that my very first entry is missing, which is 2007-08. I came to UK in end of Jan 2008. So took the salary for Feb'08 and Mar'08 but tax was zero as Employer pays Allowance and minimum basic. Also i didn't have NI number as well. But i have P60 for that year.

In fact, i have payslips / bank statements and P60 that 2 months.

I have appointment for my ILR next week, would this be a problem ?

If your Employer did not deduct any Tax and NI ( since you did not have a NI No.),there will be no contributions made to HMRC,for those 2 months.

Ok, that may be because as a foreign worker you don't have to pay NI for 52 weeks and you wouldn't probably have a NI number. And when HMRC queries your tax history it will be based on your NI number. Your employer might have paid tax the 1st year, but it will not be linked to your NI as your NI contributions might not have gone in

It was the same case with my employment history as well. Just have your P60 with you, that should be fine. I was not asked for employment history nor P60 s though
I'm just trying to help !
