Daughter in India, parents on ILR

Post by prasad123456789 » Tue Mar 12, 2013 1:50 am

Dear All,

Me and my wife got our ILR in Feb 2013. The situation:

I was on Tier 2 Work Permit with my wife as dependant. My Daughter was born (in UK) in September, due to trouble finding dates with PEO I could not get my ILR done in October (my initial date when I could have applied) in which case I would have got the MN1 done for my daughter and eventually got my baby daughter the British passport.
During end of November we had to go to India and for travelling purpose I got my daughter the Indian Passport and since then my daughter is in India. My wife came over for a week to get the ILR done.
My questions:
1. Can I send the MN1 form from UK whilst my daughter is in India?
2. If yes, How would I then apply for my daughters passport?
3. Would I be able to surrender my daughters Indian Passport in UK?
4. Processing times for each?
5. Any specimen copies of a filled MN1 as I am not using any agent and I am using the NCS?

May I thank you all in advance for the important advise you shall pass on.

Many thanks

Prasad

Use Form C2 and reading the guidance might help you find the answers for your query.
