Irish spouse query, need information......

Post by Shamrock231084 » Mon Mar 18, 2013 6:45 pm

Hi All,
I am just brand new to this forum, heard a lot about this forum. My husband is from a NON-EU country, we just recently got married. He is currently on a study permit what he just a week ago following his completion of studies in Masters.
My query is, do we have to apply to change visa conditions from study to spouse visa, Secondly how long would he be granted for? Is there any form we need to fill out first? Apologies if I asked too much....
Any advice, suggestions, comments would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

He will be issued with a Stamp 4 if you're Irish or 4EUFAM if you're not Irish but EU National. Normally Stamp 4/4EUFAM is granted for 5 years.

I need more information from you to give you a direct answer to that. But at the end of the day you must meet an Immigration Officer with your marriage certificate, passports, proof of addresses, birth certificates, etc for a change of Visa.

An Immigration officer will tell you all you need to know and documentations in regards to that. You must also be present with your husband when meeting an immigration officer as far as I know

We've been together for nearly 3 years. We got married in Feb last month. My husband is currently working on a part time contract basis but works almost full time, as he is on graduate visa at the moment which he recently got it a week following completion his studies. I am an Irish National and my husband has been living here over 5 years. I hope this information would of helpful to what you're looking for.
Please ask me any information regarding this.
Thanks once again.
