I also similar kind of situation as WP was approved as “Network Support Engineer”. So, I am thinking to get an employer letter using code 3131 saying it is the close match.raykau wrote:Hello All
I would be grateful to have your advice on this.
With the new SOC Codes that comes into effect from April 2013, I am having a confusion. I understand that under the previous version, Section J my category was under the Network Communications Analyst or Engineer which was very close to my current job profile but with the new list, I am not sure which will be suitable for me as it does not have a role as vivid as the one I mentioned above.
Can anybody advice me as to what category this will be for me in the new format.
Many Thanks in advance.

Read wpilr_nov12 experiance will give you some idea about the pro-rated calculationsraykau wrote:Thanks a lot tanvirni
also can you let me know it says that the salary is 39 hours per week but I am contracted for 35 hours for the week. Should i ask my HR to give a pro-rated salary to 39 hours or should i just ask them to mention the 35 hours on my letter for the Home Office to do the necessary calculations for it?
thanks
I see. May someone else can help you with thisraykau wrote:thanks but from that I could not understand if my salary is slightly less than what is being described on the 2135? It is fine if I prorate the 30,600 to 35 hours instead of the 39 hours then have mentioned.
I am not sure how to show this to the Home Office?
I used 3131 and my ILR approved without any question.terriblescream wrote:can you guys share what code you applied for then!...3131 seems to be at NVQ level 4
