Mother holding ILR and Child is registered British Citizen

Hi,

I have been granted ILR in October 2012. I have registered my 9 month old as British Citizen and now will be applying for her British Passport in next week.

I would like to know whether I will get the British Passport as soon as my baby gets or Do I have to wait till September 2013 to apply for AN.?

As I have been told by many sources that I can get British Passport straight away as soon as my baby gets.

Please reply as I am a bit of confused.

This is not true. Your child being British has no affect on your eligibility for BC.

Once you become British, future children would automatically be British.
