Weekly Income for Spouse Visa

Post by SoHopeful » Sun Mar 24, 2013 11:13 am

I have 2 questions regarding weekly pay and applying under Category A:

1.
The UKBA explains that the minimum requirement will be worked out based on lowest monthly salary in the last 6 months. Is this still the case where the sponsor is paid weekly? Or would they look at the lowest level weekly?

2.
My pay can vary weekly (i.e if I don't work one day), but this never drops below the £1550 for the month which is the minimum for category A. Is this ok? UKBA seems to suggest Category B for variabe income is only for a sponsor who's pay varies monthly.

It's estimated on lowest month regardless of whether you're paid weekly or monthly.
