Self Empl. (Contractor) earnings - question/s - help needed

Post by happycamper19 » Mon Mar 25, 2013 4:55 pm

My T1 G is coming for renewal next year. I am currently working as a contractor (not through LLC) in London.

Does anyone know any good chartered accountants who have good experience in cases in immigration area?

My case is a little "hairy". Currently my employer, who is based overseas, insists on paying me my fees through "unaffiliated" company of his (also based overseas, but in another country, via wire transfer). His influence on that company is indirect and there is no documented way of tracing that entity to him. This arrangement has worked for me till today, but now that my earnings begin to count towards my income requirement for T1 extension, I want to make sure that this will not invalidate them as far as UKBA is concerned.

As such, from the accountant, I need not only the letter confirming my income, but by far more importantly the ability and experience to advise on questions of such slippery nature.

I will be very grateful for any helpful advice from anyone. If anyone has a comment or advice of their own, I would be very grateful for that as well.
