ILR Application- Old Work Permit (under Closed Category)

Post by abmlondon » Tue Mar 26, 2013 3:52 pm

Dear

I am going to apply for ILR under Closed Category (Old Work Permit/skilled job). I have some issues if somebody share their views and knowledge with kind patience will be much helpful.

01. Difference between my visa Issue date & actual entrance date is 20days. I think I can apply for ILR within 28days prior of visa expiration date (not considering entrance date). Is it okay?

02.While issuing WP, my work place was shown our Head Office/outside London. But at present I am working at its London Branch (same Company) . Does it affect my ILR application? Is there any guideline on this matter? With respect to Old Work Permit Holder under Closed Category, is it a considerable point?

03. Which papers are appropriate to substantiate properly for dependant visa (for my wife). For how many years I need to submit those papers?

04. Though there is no minimum Bank Balance need to show but still HO expects sound bank balance. Any clarifications on sound bank balance?

05. Since it’s a straight cut application procedure, still is it worth to go for Immigration solicitor?

06. My wife has NHS job. Does it any help in taking decision if I submit her papers?

07. I decided to go for their Premium Service? Can anybody share experience esp. at Croydon HO? Any advices you have in this regard?

Regards & Thanks AB

It should be Fine

Normally Work permit has the Headoffice address so it would't be a problem

03. Which papers are appropriate to substantiate properly for dependant visa (for my wife). For how many years I need to submit those papers?

Cohabitation Document for 2 years (though it is not required for work permit Category for 2 years). ie Bank statement, GP letter any letters corresponding the address you & your spouse staying together

04. Though there is no minimum Bank Balance need to show but still HO expects sound bank balance. Any clarifications on sound bank balance?

Not Required
05. Since it’s a straight cut application procedure, still is it worth to go for Immigration solicitor?

Not Required

06. My wife has NHS job. Does it any help in taking decision if I submit her papers?

Not Required

I have not attended Croydan PEO so no idea on the service. But my suggestion is any PEO would be good if it is straight forward application.
