Cohabitation Documents question

Post by sheraz_aries » Fri Mar 29, 2013 6:33 pm

Regrading the Cohabitation Documents statement below, my question is:

1- Do we need documents from 3 different source or it has to be something that should cover the whole time period .
2- Can we use the source used for the other year as well?
3- Does it has to be letter that got just one date or a whole bill covers a period.

---------------

Note 8 We need 6 letters or other documents addressed to you jointly or in both your names. If you do not have enough
items in your joint names, you may also provide items addressed to each of you individually if they show the same address
for both of you. Examples of acceptable letters and documents are listed below. They must be originals.
The dates of the letters or documents should spread over the whole 2 years. They should be from at least 3 different
sources.
Please give an explanation on a separate sheet if you cannot provide 6 items; if the documents are not addressed to both of
you; or if they do not cover the 2-year period. If you and your partner lived with relatives or friends for some or all of the 2-year
period, please provide a letter from the relative(s) and/or friend(s) confirming this.
If you did not live together for any part of the 2-year period, tell us the reasons for this and whether you stayed in contact with
each other during this time, and provide any relevant supporting evidence.

--------------
Many Thanks

Basically an official letter in each name or one each every 4 months. Put the whole statement or letter in if you can but just one page will do if you can't providing it has the relevant date on it and your name and address. The total 6 letter (or possibly 12) have to be from at least 3 different sources. So coud be for eg 2 bank statements, 2 council tax bills and 2 credit card statements. For set(m) use the SCS as its makes life easier regardless of whether it is a postal or peo appointment.

I would be applying for ILR along with 1 dependent and need to know if there are any funds requirement that needs to be maintain during last 12 months before application

sheraz_aries wrote:Thanks Kevin,
I understand that being on tier 1 I need to get same points I showed during my Tier 1 application, and that would include showing bank statement of last 12 months but my question is do I need to maintain some funds throughout that 12 months period?
Kevin24 wrote:You should Maintain the Minm. Balance over a period. Say 6 months.
sheraz_aries wrote:So you reckon having £1000 in account for six months before the application ( main applicant + dependant ) would be sufficient ?
Kevin24 wrote:Please read the successful experiences of Members as similar case like yours. I think £ 1,000 bal. every month for the last 6 months plus a good savings account, you should be fine. If your case is straightforward one no need to worry.
sheraz_aries wrote:But I donot have any saving account
Kevin24 wrote:No problem.Don't worry, some times CW have approved ILR,if the other documents are O.K. Do you work for an Employer as a Tier 1 migrant. Then Employer could confirm your salary etc.
maplaz wrote:No funds are required for ILR.. Just had my ILR approved with no savings account and not having kept much funds in the account.
sheraz_aries wrote:Thanks to all

sheraz_aries wrote:I got a general question regarding earning in ILR

the guidance says that you can show 12 consecutive months payslips out of 15 just before the application date.

My Question is : if i can earn required earning points in 6 months then out of last 15 months can i show first 6 months payslips (hence the payslips would be of 9 months old but still be within 15 months before the application date.)?

I need to make payment of £2600.

Would it possible to use multiple credit cards to make the above payment?
rajesh9pl wrote:If you are using Debit card then one should be good. These days, you need to enter PIN to authorise your payment. You can keep another debit card (spoue) for mitigation.
sheraz_aries wrote:My query is regarding credit cards.
aliq09 wrote:Hi ,

Well , technically you can make payment with any plastic card accepted at UKBA PEO payment terminal but it's wise to give your payment in one clean go just to avoid any ££'s mistake .. You have to make successful payment before any one can touch your application ... good luck mate for your visa

Thanks
sheraz_aries wrote:This is not what my question is Sad
rajesh9pl wrote:Sorry I did not notice. Credit cards are too risky. I have never made a large payment using credit card. Sorry I can not help.

loveworld wrote:I think you can make payment like that but it is painful to the officer & you have to submit two or three payment details page.

bot advisable to be honest.

I made a payment with my one credit card & its all ok.
dubeyv wrote:Hi there,

I didnt face any issues when I use my credit card. I used 2 credit cards for my payment of the fees and didnt even fill the payment sheet. The lady at the counter said as long as the pin gets verified you should be fine. So I guess it should be okay.
loveworld wrote:in that case you can use two credit card but safe side if I would you I will make another sheet for payment in case.

Thanks

Just because you added money to your account does not mean it actually affected or bolstered the decision.

sheraz_aries wrote:I would be applying for ILR in few months time along with one dependant.
Although i know there isnt any maintenance requirement for main applicant or dependant but as mentioned by others I am planning to keep maintenance for 3 months period.

My Question is:

I have two bank accounts, out of which one is joint with my wife.

Would it be okay to show one account statement as evidence to claim salary points while the Joint account to show maintenance funds?

A quick answer would be really appreciated.
Lucapooka wrote:There is no maintenence requirement so your question is irrelevent.
sheraz_aries wrote:I know but just to be in safe side would there be any obligations on using two different accounts?

Any evidence case, rule link would be really appreciated.

Does it mean i can apply as soon as i complete my 5 years and dont have to wait for my current visa to end?

I got Tier 1 General in UK on 02 March 2009, although my Tier 1 extension visa is valid until 22 May 2014.

My question is, at what date I would be eligible for ILR?

Any evidence case, rule link would be really appreciated.

You may apply for ILR no sooner than 28 days prior to the completion of your 5 years qualifying period and before your leave expires. Between Sunday, 2 February 2014 and Wednesday, 21 May 2014.
