HELP NEEDED on appeal-- Spouse Visa refused ---

Post by ALI777 » Sun Mar 31, 2013 4:57 pm

My spouse visa got refused because the 18600 limit was not met-- my situation is as follows:
I have 3 incomes 1) employed £8000 2) property income £6000 3) self employed income 3) 10000 (gross before all expenses) £2000 after all expenses...
ECO was satisfied with employed and property income = £14k
ECO refused because of in sufficient evidence for self employment.. (I didn't provide self assessment return or the amount of tax paid) I can get these for tax year 2011/2012 (but only show £2k profit, will they look at the gross figure or net)... I will have to appeal and send these documents also can I send 2012/2013 tax returns that show a higher gross e.g £4600 after expenses - that will cover the £18600..

many thanks in advance for your expertise

It'd be better to stick to one thread.

An appeal will consider evidence that would have been available at time of application - not new evidence. So if you appeal - they'll only consider the £2k profit.

With the self assessment for tax year 2011/2012 My accountant can amend the level of profit to show £4600 via online assessment and provide a print out of the tax return (when the original paperwork was submitted I didn't send the statement or proof of self employment)... Will that be ok in ur opinion?

I can get all proof for self employment via inland revenue
