I was in UK from 1st Dec 2008 to 30th Dec 2010 with UK Workpermit. I did return to UK on 26th Mar 2011 with Tier 2 ICT - Established Staff and this VISA is valid till 27th Mar 2014.
My husband got his ILR on Nov 2012 and we are staying together in UK since Mar 2011.
On 22nd March 2013 applied for FLR(M) (APPLICATION FOR AN EXTENSION OF STAY IN THE UK AS THE PARTNER OF A PERSON PRESENT AND SETTLED IN THE UK) in Croydon PEO
We did submit the following document
• My Passports
• Husband’s Passport and BRP (ILR)
• Bank Statements (both mine and my husband’s)
• Payslips (mine and my husband’s)
• Degree Certificates
• Council Tax Bill with both the names
• Water Bill with both the names
• House Agreement with both the name
• Driving License Counterpart
• Voter Id Letter
• Marriage Certificate and Invitation copy
Payment was made, Biometric was done and all the documents were accepted by Case Worker, but after looking thru all the documents for 30 mins case worker mentioned that Employer letter is required. So, she gave us a letter with the note
“To help me consider the matter, please send me the following documents. Please send original document for the purpose of deciding
• Please submit a letter from your employer
To enable the application to be considered fully and promptly we need all the above documents. It is therefore essential that you enclose the return label and reply within 14 days”
I have sent the document to UKBA within 2 days and it was received by home office on 28th Mar.
Could you please help me clarify following questions
• Has anyone had similar experience?
• What would be the approx. Time for UKBA to decide and reply to this type of case?
• Is there a customer service email Id or phone number I can contact to get the details
• Also, there is no reference numbers in the letter. So, how do they link the documents with my application? If I contact the customer service how do I provide the details of the application?
Thanks in advance for your inputs.
