No, for immigration application the day of postage is taken as the date of application (keep postage proof). Moreover, there is a 21 day window to use the old application forms for immigration applications.

Thank you for your answer, Amber. Would it be worth making a PEO appointment for the 25th Oct and applying then? That would be 29 days before the 2nd anniversary of her arrival. Is the 28 day rule strictly adhered to? Or is it best just to post on the 26th?

Hi,
Can anyone help me with this please... I've just passed my LIUK test today and I'm planning on applying for citzenship ASAP, but I am unsure of the language requirements as of yet. I am a university student at the moment, doing an undergraduate bachelor degree, but I don't have any formal language qualifications, except for the (Key Skills Level 2 in Communication) which I did back in Feb 2012 as part of an apprenticeship. I don't know if that would be sufficient enough to support my application or do I have to set an ESOL exam?

Any input or advice would be much appreciated.
