Do I still need to include child benefits

Post by abc111 » Sun Apr 14, 2013 9:45 pm

Hi,

Tier G and eligible for ILR.

I mistakenly claimed child benefits and now in process of paying them back. Question: having paid the benefits and got all clear from HMRC, do I still need to mention this in SET O form? OR should I skip it as whole matter is sorted?

Thanks.

Once you paid it back, I think you will be fine.
I do not know where you put it in the form.

From 06/4 Real Time Information has to be submitted by Employers to HMRC regarding PAYE. Whether Child benefits information too , could be accessed from HMRC by UKBA,I do not know.If you skip from disclosing on the form but if it comes up that you have claimed in a check, then there will be a serious problem. If you have written confirmation from HMRC,then you might as well, disclose on the Form. Finally you have to make the decision as to what you are going to do.
