My friend is a part qualified acca student. He has also got a certificate from NARIC that the qualification that he achieved from uk is equivalent to bachelors degree.
He has been offered a job from a post office as a manager. Salary 21k a year. He also has got 6.5 in IELTS.
The employer has the licence .
Is he eligible to apply tier 2 from inside uk. Thank u..

Qualifications that cannot be used for the award of points include:
• Foundation degrees;
• Honorary degrees;
• Qualifications awarded in the UK by overseas awarding bodies;
• Qualifications undertaken solely at an overseas campus of UK institutions;
• Postgraduate certificates and diplomas (except PGCE/PGDE);
• Professional qualifications (whether or not they are of an equivalent level) that are not degrees.

Tier 4 student.... But one of my friend completed acca and although it is said to be a professional qualification , he was offered a job of 24k and applied in tier 2 from tier 4 and got the visa.
I don't understand this.

Perhaps this other 'friend' had other circumstances when he/she applied for his/her Tier 2.

He got qualified in June 2011 from Kaplan. On the basis of that qualification he applied and got it. Salary was 24 k a year.

Maybe he got lucky? According to the rules, someone who has achieved Acca from a Tier 4 should not be granted Tier 2 based on that qualification.... Odd.
