ILR parents-dependent child visa

Hi,
me and my wife we both are on ILR(granted Nov/12).my child born in Canada and have a Canadian passport.want to apply(ILE) for my child to join us in uk.is there any financial requirements and once he get ILE what next for him.how and when we can apply for his British passport(what steps will be involved).
what documents should i submit for him.
