You can demonstrate your knowledge of language and life in the UK in three ways:dingdon wrote:Hi All,
I have read the earlier posts and sticky on this topic. Still didn't get clarity.
I am applying for naturalization this month.
For Knowledge of language / life in the UK...I want to select the option "I met the knowledge of language and life requirement to qualify for settlement". As per the checklist of supporting documents I have to provide a document/evidence which confirms that I met this requirement in order to obtain settlement.
Please suggest how I should prove it??? UKBA should already know about this....Without life in the UK pass certificate they wont grant ILR. What type of evidence I need to submit to prove it other than Life in UK pass certificate. (Through any document or covering letter etc...)???
Thanks.
Do you have the LIUK certificate? Just enclose the certificate with the application form as an evidencedingdon wrote:Hi All,

1.If you speak English, Welsh or Scottish Gaelic to a reasonable standard, you will need to pass the 'Life in the UK test'.
2.If you do not have sufficient knowledge of English, Welsh or Scottish Gaelic, you will need to take and pass an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) course in English and citizenship.
3.If you passed the Life in the UK test or completed an ESOL course to meet the 'knowledge of language and life' requirement when you applied for settlement, you will not need to show that you meet this requirement again. Simply tick the appropriate box in section 1.22 of the application form.
You cannot be exempted from this requirement because you have lived in the UK for a long time, have certain qualifications, are illiterate or are from an English-speaking country. The requirement to demonstrate knowledge of life in the UK is specified in law, and these are not grounds for exemption.
You may be exempted from the requirement if you are over the age of 65, or have a serious physical or mental condition that would prevent you from meeting this requirement for the foreseeable future

Let me put my question more clearly.
I want to go with option 3 and I am going select the below option in the Form AN.
1.22 I met the knowledge of language and life requirement to qualify for settlement
Since I am selecting this option...I am not submitting any proof because HO already knows that ILR can't be granted with out passing Life In the UK test.
Is my assumption correct??
Hello All, Please share your experience on this. Did any one of you succeed with your BC without submitting your Life in the UK certificate ???dingdon wrote:Amby, Thanks for your quick reply.D4109125 wrote:You can demonstrate your knowledge of language and life in the UK in three ways:dingdon wrote:Hi All,

I didn't find mine, I don't know if home office has retained with them during my ILR.
