Fees reduction for private citizenship ceremony?

Post by nnj10 » Mon Apr 22, 2013 12:07 pm

I am just curious if there would be any reduction in fees that you pay to UKBA for naturalisation application such as using from AN, if you are not going to use public ceremony.
The fees leaflet does mention that the fees cover cost of public ceremony. Cost of private ceremony does vary by the council just like the NCS service.
As such people going for private ceremony will pay the top-up fees for going private, not sure in such case would you just sacrifice the cost element already paid for in naturalisation application.

If you decide not to use public and go only for private ceremony would you get any reduction in fees at point of application?
Most likely not, but just though that I should post it to the forum to hear any views members might have on this subject.
Information and/or advice provided by me is of general nature and is not intended to substitute for informed professional legal or other professional advice.
