Spouse visa

Post by Nafu » Sun Apr 28, 2013 3:20 pm

Currently I'm looking for a job, I have 2 children and I am divorced. My partner is in India. When we met, I was working part time in a school on a temporary contract, with the hope of getting a full time post that was coming up. Unfortunately, my part time job ended earlier than expected, as I was on maternity cover. I am looking for work and I am hopeful of being re-employed as a teaching assistant, chances are that it will only be part time. Due to this, it will be under the £18,500 threshold.

A friend of mine has used this board before and has told me that if anyone would know how to obtain a spouse visa for my partner, it would be you guys... So my question is, is there any way I can bring my partner to the U.K via a spousal visa?

How about if I had a family member who earns over £18,600 to co-sponsor?

Are you disabled or do you have any family member here who is disabled and on disability benefits for whom you can care for?

For savings income, only savings over £16,000 can be used in the calculation. As vinny says, try the alternative route, if not try for an additional job.
