ILR spouse visa

Post by knowledge_seeker » Fri May 03, 2013 8:07 pm

Hi there,

I am on ILR. I am going to apply for my wife's visa this month as my dependent. She had her passport issued 3 months before she got married to me. In the passport her marital status is single. Do we need to get a new passport or can we submit our application with the same passport?

Many thanks
Thanks

Same passport will do. The ECO has a reasonably high IQ and can work out the circumstances by looking at the date on the marriage certificate and passport issue date. If she has changed her name (maiden to married) just indicate this in the forms so that they can follow the trail.
