Cat B - Financial Requirement

Post by suraj4utd » Sun May 12, 2013 10:14 pm

Hi All,

Can you please advise me on Category B of the financial requirement.
Basically I'm not sure about the first part of the cat B.

First, where the applicant‟s partner and/or the applicant (if they are in the UK with permission to work) is in salaried employment at the date of application and has been with the same employer, or earning the amount relied upon, for less than the last 6 months, they can count the gross annual salary at the date of application towards the financial requirement.

For the first part of the category B, do you just have to provide contract letters to evidence your level of income and then for second part last 12 months payslips to prove you've earned atleast 18600?

We're looking to apply in early june. thanks

hi I'm still not sure about how to evidence first part...onthat page it details about the evidwnce from salaried and non-salaried income...I believe for the first part I just have to produce contract letters from both jobs to show that I'm at earning at the required income level?

You need to look at the requirements and figure out for yourself (our seek professional help if you can't) what suits your individual circumstances. No one can tell you exactly what you need as no one exactly everything about you.

If you have been employed for less than 6 months you need to submit all the wage slips for the last 12 months. Together with the letter from the current employer and the corresponding bank statements for the wage slips you are providing.

I've got 2 jobs, baisc pay in my main job is just over 16250, however i got paid bonus of 2000 in April.

For my part-time job i'm earning 4800 gross pay annually, However I only got this job in November, so my question is to meet the first part of the category B, do I have to provide contract letters from both job stating my basic salary?

Can I include my bonus figure in the first part as well or can this be just included in the second part of the cat B where I have to prove that I've earned 18600 in the last 12 months.

For your 6 months + employment, yes bonuses can be considered, however, it is the lowest gross wage slip in the last 6 months x 12 which will considered. You can combine this with your other job providing in the last 12 months you have earned the level of income required to meet the financial requirement, which can include the bonus.

I think you've got it wrong...you take the lowest gross pay in Category A not category B.

The op has both cat a and b earnings hence why my post includes both calculations.
