I have read many post and checked on many websites including UKBA and called UKBA as well for verification.

If you are under ICT Long Term Staff Category you can change your Sponsor and switch to Tier2 , there is no rule to stop you from doing that.

Established staff was broken into Long term and Short Term in 2011.

If anyone disagrees or has applied and found other wise please post your comments with link to UKBA page explicitly stating that we cannot apply.... Otherwise stop spreading wrong information.

A : Tier 2 (General). Go to question L5

L5. Will you be paid a gross annual salary of £152,100 or Higher?
A: No Go to question L6

L6. What is your current or last grant of leave?
a Tier 2 (Intra Company Transfer) migrant in the Long Term Staff sub-category
Go to question L10

L10 and next questions are about your sponsor

Hi,

I am on a Tier2 ICT Visa (Long term) and came to the UK on August 2011. I have to leave the UK on July 2016 as I understand. But this post gives us some hope of extending our visa. Can someone let me know if it is possible to extend my visa ans whether the cooling off period is applicable. A quick response wil be greatly appreciated as we are running out of time and have got less than a month to leave.

Please, please help.

Hi mate

What you seem to be quoting in your message is barely the questions being asked while filling up a Tier 2 Visa application form I believe.
An application form need not list out all the visa rules.

Refer to the Tier 2 Policy-

Read point 15 in above document which talks about switching to Tier 2 General. Also see note 1 under point 15

Please note that Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) Long Term Staff granted entry clearance under the rules in place after
6 April 2011 cannot switch into Tier 2 (General).

You should be checking the Tier 2 policy guidance at the first place
