hi my wife is in the philippines and we have been married for three years she has her visa to come to settle in the uk.but she has been told she needs to buy a round trip return plane ticket and not a one way ticket and she has to buy her ticket to uk in the philippines.this does not make sense to me as she is coming to live her permanently.surely i can buy one way ticket for her online and email the ticket and details to her.can someone help please?

I know an Estafa exists for fraud/deceit whether the courts granted one against your wife, who knows? Without fraud there would be no Estafa, well in theory anyway. If you telephone the courts they'll tell you if one was granted I would think.

Either your wife's trying to swindle you or she's in serious trouble.
