Switching employers from T2 ICT

Post by r_a » Wed May 22, 2013 12:08 am

Dear Manci,

I have plenty of queries regarding my case:

I have been offered a job with a new employer. I'm 9 months away from completing 5 yrs of T2 ICT (new employer to set me on T2 G I assume). They've completed RLMT and have my details (copy of current BRP, passport, dependent's, etc). Believe they may have appointed an agent to look at my case. Understand they'd already requested CoS allocation. I have several questions:

* How long does issuing a CoS take?
* Can they apply for/assign a CoS without me having signed a formal offer?
* Could the agent be applying for the new visa on my behalf? (without me or my dependent having signed any applications)
* How long would the actual visa approval take after issuance of the CoS?

Any advice and clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advace

* How long does issuing a CoS take? 20 minutes once the sponsor has the allocation

* Can they apply for/assign a CoS without me having signed a formal offer? yes

* Could the agent be applying for the new visa on my behalf? (without me or my dependent having signed any applications) they could submit an application on your behalf but only if it is signed by you.

* How long would the actual visa approval take after issuance of the CoS? Depends how you apply: postal, personal or priority postal

Any advice and clarification would be greatly appreciated.

They may not have a CoS allocation available and if that is the case they have to apply for an increase in their allocation*

Can they apply for/assign a CoS without me having signed a formal offer? yes
* Could the agent be applying for the new visa on my behalf? (without me or my dependent having signed any applications) they could submit an application on your behalf but only if it is signed by you.

* How long would the actual visa approval take after issuance of the CoS? Depends how you apply: postal, personal or priority postal WHICH ONE OF THESE THREE WOULD BE THE FASTEST IN YOUR EXPERIENCE? Postal is the slowest, the other two are fast but it is not easy to get an appointment slot at a PEO.

Any advice and clarification would be greatly appreciated.
