Spouse Visa: Cat B, applicant- 2 jobs & sponsor- 1 job

Post by Kadian » Fri May 24, 2013 9:25 pm

I'm a bit baffled by Category B.

Partner works in a school and has been in full time work almost a year but doesn't meet the financial requirement. He intends on taking up more work during the Summer break to make cumulative gross amount for visa as he is only short a couple hundred pounds.

I have a part time job to supplement our combined income requirement so if he doesn't pick an extra job then we can use my income from my part job and go through Category A.

Can someone confirm if Category B is the correct route for us in this scenario?

Thank you

I've had a look at Annex 1.7 thanks, I'm just having a hard time understanding it.

Under Cat B, could I meet the first part of the requirement (employment of less than 6 months) and my partner meet the second part (employment income over 12 months prior to application)?

Or do both parts of Cat B requirement have to be covered by either applicant or sponsor only?

Thank you
