Maternity benefits for Tier2 ICT Dependant

Post by sanketcom » Sat May 25, 2013 2:13 pm

Hi all,

I am having Tier-2 ICT Visa (long term) and would be travelling UK soon.

My query is: if we plan a baby in UK or my wife already is pregnant at the time of travel, would the medical cost be covered for my wife and a child?
If yes, is there any minimum period stay required before claiming such benefits?

Many thanks in advance.

As long as you are resident in the country, i.e. you have residential status which you have by virtue of being on Tier 2 ICT, your wife and baby will be able to benefit from NHS care.
