Well how you know you have poor credit ?
is your case pending in any court or have been in court for any reason ?
IF not, then i believe- that shouldn't be an issue.
Its looks like the case worker are freshers by the name "Miss xyz" in my letter. NOT sure though...
So relax....it might be in case...

From what I've read on the guidance they use. Building up an unmanageable or excessive debt may be grounds for an issue.

As far as you are paying regularly on time then it should be fine.

Credit score does goes down when you apply/get the loan, but eventually goes up as you start paying regularly. That's my experience....

So I wouldn't worry on those lines...

6.2 Debt
The decision maker will not normally refuse an application simply because the person is in debt, especially if loan repayments have been made as agreed or if acceptable efforts are being made to pay off accumulated debts.
However, where a person deliberately and recklessly builds up debts and there is no evidence of a serious intention to pay them off, the decision maker will normally refuse the application.
Extract from the guidance.

Hey,

Anyone on here who is a late May or early June applicant and still haven't heard back from HO?

I'm going crazy, and really frustrated. Some people who applied in August already had their decisions.

I'm so glad I'm not alone in this. I don't understand how HO prioritise their workload. :(

My husband also applied for BC in mid-June 2017, and online status says awaiting decision since 3 July :( ... I was surprised the August applicants started getting decisions while June applicants are still waiting!!! Not fair at all  :?
Same here, applied Jun the 29th, online statues is waiting decisions since July the 6th.

I thought my application is very straight forward and I believe it's ,but I don't think Ho do the job fairly. Shame they treat cases different.

i have thought about this and believe this is unfair as there are many brits who are in debt or have bad history and it doesn't impact on them being British, i know of many from work who are in this same situation but they are still British, using this against aspiring brits is a bit unfair, other character requirement i understand but this i believe is a bit harsh. having poor history and not being able to obtain credit is enough punishment, but using it to decide this application is double.

You are of course entirely correct but there is nothing fair about this process at all!

Just got a call from HO. They wanted to know more about my sp50 fine. I explained the situation that I didn't get the letters in the post so FPN went to court. I am stressing now but the lady seemed very nice so might consider my situation favourably.

Don't take stress, you already explained to her everything, and she call you because she was not sure now she knows ... positive reply will come to you soon...

Does anyone know when you get the decision letter, how long do you have to arrange the ceremony with your local council?
Is it 21 days or 3 months? I can't find the info anywhere.

you need to book the ceremony in 21 days of the approval letter and attend the ceremony in next 3 months.

Hi,
anyone here applied as a family? I can see from the timeline threads that MN1 applications are processed a little bit faster that AN applications.
When we received the biometric letters they were all in one envelope, are they going to assess our applications together? we have 4 applications with them, two MN1 and two AN, so wondering if they are going to do the ANs at the same time with the MN1 ones or leave the MN1 ones for after they processed the AN ones. Just curios, not that it matters that much. I can see that they are very inconsistent with the way they process applications.
Thanks
