Hello respected members
I applied for naturalisation on 11 of March and haven’t heard from the home office yet . I applied under ILR + refugee state . Is this delay because refugee’s Application takes long time than others like EU or married to BC etc .
Secondly
I submitted my naturalisation application before completed the 12 months period .it was 2 days before as my bio done 3 days after . Could you please help me if this could be a problem and get refused.thanx

I think you should relax a little bit
... I applied on the 6th of February under same route and still no response yet. I applied one day before the one year and biometric one day after lol. It won’t make a difference hopefully.
Good luck

hi all,
applied on 15th of march, online application, and gave biometrics in march as well.
i was expecting the outcome in 8 weeks but no sign of it and while i know it is within the 6 month timeframe, but i am getting anxious about it.
i can see that a lot of people who applied in march are getting their outcomes eu and non-eu.
for some reason i have noticed that almost all of the eu citizens applying for citizenship get their application approved faster than non-eu.
sent out e-mails, and called, but nothing helps.
really hoping to get an outcome soon.

Yeah I’m in the same boat, I’m sure there’s loads out there in the same situation also.
I applied last week of Feb with biometrics done in first week of March thinking the same that will get some kind of response in 8/10 weeks but been 3 months now and still no news while other people that applied midd March or even end of March got their approval so dunno how HO work out or allocate the applications etc lol

Hi there,
Hope you're all well in here. For those of you who have had a successful approval, does the approval arrive via post, email or both? I'm asking as I'm travelling a lot around this time but could make arrangements to check (snail) mail if needed.
Thank you!

Hey guys
I just got the “You will be contacted within 21 working days” email.
Has anyone got an approval after this kind of message before or should I be worried?

No one knows for sure, but it appears that people get a decision in the post not much long after that.

Be assured a decision has been made on your application, and a letter has been sent out. I got the same email during on 14/05 and received by approval on 24/05. it might help calm you down if you call your city council to check if they have received your certificate. I did exactly the same when I received the 21 days email, I called my council and they confirmed they have my cert days before I received the approval by post. Good luck.

They can't tell you a decision over the phone, so you need to wait for the decision to arrive to where it was sent.

Hi,
When applying as Spouse of BC, with the new system, do you need the original of the British citizen certificate? I want to use it for the Passport (requires original) but I don't know if my wife will need it for the application.
Also, is there any problem if she leaves for a few months - a month after applying? She usually goes 60 days on summer back to her country but I assume this will not affect her application? Since she meets the criteria.
Thank you

Documents are scanned with the new system and you get to retain your originals.
Free to travel but be aware HO can ask for documents or original passport etc.

Hello guys,
I need bit of help from experience people here.
I applied for Naturalisation on 26 December 2018 (on 5 year Tier 2 + 1 yr ILR route)
Submitted my biometric and documents on 2nd January 2019.
Haven't heard anything from them yet. I have tried contacting on 2 different occasion and they gave same answer that have to wait 6 months minimum for the update.
Many of my friends in similar circumstances have got approval on average 2-3 months.
Just wondering, what can I do?
Thank you. Much appreciated.

Just to make sure I understood it. I scan the certificate at home and then send it for my passport.
Thanks.

Yes. However you should attend the ukcvas appointment with originals in case they need to be rescanned.

Hi guys,
just one quick question re the 'Did you meet the knowledge of English requirement as part of an indefinite leave application made on or after 28 Oct '13' ?
I got PR last year where I didn't have to 'prove' my English, so I'm guessing my answer should be 'NO' here, right?
( I do however have a UK degree that was taught in English which I got in 2011 and which I'll take to UKCVAS as proof...I've filled out the rest of the English language parts of the application accordingly)
thanks a lot

Correct, NO is the answer as this is for ILR only not PR.

almost 12 weeks and no response on the naturalisation application. biometrics are done.
so many on the forum have got their responses who applied after me.
contacted ukvi but with the same standard response, looks like they will take the whole 6 months now.
applied march, biometrics done in march.
