Hi there - I applied 4 February and have contacted the Home office via email a number of times, they respond by saying my application is awaiting to be allocated to a case worker. Once it’s allocated to a case worker how long do they turn it around ?

Its quite a straight forward application. No immigration issues, worked, paid taxes etc. Today I received response below;

Dear xxx

Thank you for your e-mail and please accept our apologies for the delay in responding.

Your application is currently awaiting allocation to a Caseworker who will complete consideration and, if necessary, the Caseworker will contact you directly to request any further information necessary.

I am sorry but I am not able to provide a timescale as to when allocation will be.

Hi

I had a vary bad car accident few months ago and police invited me for a voluntary interview to ask me about how the accident happened. This interview was because it was a big crash and I am injured as well as a person in another car.

Police told me that he is investigating and he might charge me on dangerous driving or no further action.
I asked a solicitor and he said because I haven't heard from police or court regarding any charges, it is not counted as a pending prosecution yet.

I am eligible to apply for my naturalisation next week but I am not sure should I disclose this or not as I haven't received any further information from the police.

Should I disclose it as a pending prosecution? anybody had a similar experience?

Thanks for any advise.

Be very careful about what you disclose or do not disclose on your application form because most people have had unnecessary delays with their application because they started mentioning things that never should have been mentioned.

You were only involved in an accident!

We’re your arrested? No
You were interviewed only to get information on wether to prosecute you or not. It was only a voluntary interview and you could have refused to attend!

It is very irrelevant to your application!!!

I hope this information helps.
Dear Onesie,

Thanks for your reply. You made me feel confident with my application.

Thanks again

Hello everyone,
Can some one advise what postal service home office uses to send naturalisation approvals? Is it a signed 1st class requiring signature or normal post dropped in the mailbox?

Standard second class post, in a brown A5 envelope. It is NOT signed for post.

Hi everyone,

I wrote to Home Office (Further Nationality Requests email) and received the following reply:

Hi

Thank you for your e-mail.

All applications are dealt with in application receipt date order. As your application was received on 16-Jun-2019, It will take a while longer for your application to be considered.

Once your application is decided, you will be contacted by your caseworker.

Kind regards“

Does it mean that my application is being considered by a caseworker already or is it still in the queue?
Does anyone have similar experience?

Would appreciate your advice!

Hi, amelie12, its early stages really, sounds like still in checks, once checks are done and allocated to caseworker, once allocated they normally says your case is with caseworker they will contact you directly, if they need more info your caseworker will write to you.
Once you get This sort of reply then its mean you will get decision soon. 😊

I got a stupid question, does paid Sopra Steria service centers transmit the biomterics of the applicants quicker compared to those centers that have free services?

I have applied on the third week of June and had my biometrics enrolled in mid-July at Manchester Parkway with a free service. There are some applicants who applied in July and already got their results. :(

Hi, I applied to the naturalisation on the 3rd of June and did the biometrics a day after, so bit more than 3 months have passed and I have not got any response.
So I sent an email to NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk and to NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gov.uk ( not sure what is the correct one) but I sent it to both , asking if there was an update of my application, and there has been already 3 working days and no response.

Is there any other that you can recommend to get the status of my applications ? Cheers

I also applied on the same day as you and no response yet I also have been sending emails a few days ago and no response either. Not too sure why they haven’t responded to my Emails....

Hi,
I will become eligible to apply for citizenship later this week on Friday. I've already filled the online application form but haven't gone passed the Declaration and Payment date as I will do that on the day I become eligible.

I have 2 questions:

1. on the day I become eligible (Friday), I will be on a business trip abroad, I will come back a couple of days later. I don't see anywhere on the guidelines that say you have to be physically in the UK when you send your application online. Is this ok or should I wait until I come back?

2. I have all my previous passports with the entry and stamps. Am I right to assume that is sufficient to satisfy the "being physically in the UK exactly 5 years ago" requirement? (The startup I used to work at back then doesn't exist anymore unfortunately so can't get a letter from them)

Thanks :)

Many of us are on the same boat.
I applied on 24 May and submitted biometrics on 30 May.
Never heard a single word from the Home Office.
It takes a lot of patience and nerves of steel...

Hello everyone,

We applied for BC in May (my husband, me and our 3 children).
Today we received the approval letters, but only for the children!
Does this mean me and my husband were refused? Did anyone have similar situation when children's letters come separately?
Thanks everyone and good luck!

I don’t think it means that at all.
Applications are processed individually, not as a group. My advice would be stay calm and hope for more good news soon.
