Apologies if my post offended anyone, that wasn't the intention. Whether it has taken long or short for you it's my prayer that you get a positive decision soon. I sincerely wish you all the best. Again sorry to anyone my post offended. I might take it down whenever I manage to workout how to. Love and light.

I suggest you read the forum rules and please post with respect towards other members.

If you find the questions "outrageous" and lacking "common sense" and posters are "annoying you", then perhaps you should move on and find another forum or online medium to post your irrelevant monaing posts.

You are not at fault and did not post anything offensive. The user responding to you disrepectfully is behaving immaturely.

Being humble take you far in life. Please try to choose your words reasonably next time. Your message came across attacking me first and then other members of this forum. You don't have to agree with what anyone post here and there is no need for your message filled of insults and arrogance. Life is not so difficult, live and let others live. You don't like what people post, read past and let others that care respond to them if they want. I wish you a peace of mind because you sound troubled.

Thank you, I was confused and wondered how anyone would be offended by just sharing my joy, and given people hope. I have seen other people post their outcome here, I have read of someone's case whose application only took 6wks on this forum. I wasn't offended rather I had hope that it was possible for my own application to be decided within 6wks too. The post was to encourage people here. Bless you and best of luck in all you do.

Troubled lol it seems you got your courage from the people who run this post that’s why you cane back all guns blazing I don’t think crying on here or celebrating makes no difference because this is not a UK BORDER AGENCY thread ok people here insults HO staff because they are not getting their approval after a short time or getting things their way throwing their toys out of their prams and that’s ok with you I don’t see the point of these threads anyway because they were set up by regular people who now tell me to go and join medium sites how rude how are you helping people with false info first you go around telling people paper applications were discontinued last year for UK residents and also that if you ask for your docs back your application gets withdrawn WHICH IS FALSE why don’t people just contact HO BY PHONE OR EMAIL THEY ARE HUMANS just like you and me so stop encouraging your followers to insult them ok if you insult me again I will report you to HO itself ok you don’t go there ok you are the ones who should be humble because you are asking to be citizens if you not happy with how they work keep your own PASSPORTS see if it bothers them ok ✌🏾 Very rude call me troubled🙄🙄🙄

Good afternoon!

I have received the following email from NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gov.uk

"Thank you for your e-mail
Your application is now with a caseworker, you will be contacted in due course
Thank you"

Would anyone advise how long it usually takes for the application to be decided once it's with a caseworker? I believe my case should be straightforward. Applied end of August. Thank you!

Hi Skazan

hope you are ok >
may kindly advise if you received a decision ? if so how long did it take after being allocated to a case worker ?

all the best

Hi dear! I was overstayer for 15 months. My refugee status for 5 years. But I spend almost 11 years in the UK. I was on study visa, then overstayer and claimed asylum, refugee status and ILR and now finally after 11 years granted approval. Please be patient. God will help you. Kind regards.

Hi Members

Just want to ask a quick question about the acknowledgement email with case ID. How quickly does people usually receive this after submitting an online application?

I submitted my application last Friday afternoon around 14pm, paying by AMEX (still appear as pending on my card as of this morning as “nationality online”).

I saw some people did not receive any acknowledgement email in previous posts (they may have but do not see any follow up posts from those who post that they didn’t receive). Not sure if I need to contact anywhere if I do not receive anything after a while. My biometric appointment is this afternoon.

Anyone can share their experience would be much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance!

Just received an email this afternoon from the HO address (hocommunications), so the problem solved.
Just to share for info, it contained case ID and was automated email. It was also almost exactly 24hrs (excluding weekend) after my submission on Friday. The charge on my cc is still pending so that obviously doesnt seem to affect. However, I had my biometric this afternoon at the same time when I received the email, so I am not 100% sure that didnt affect it (meaning the appointment may have prompted it..?)

The email was signed off as permanent migration team.

Hope these info helps.

Thank you CR001. I fully support your opinion. That sounds very offending, especially in this sensitive moment of time for everyone. The post sound very irrespecutful. Some people need to know the limits what they say/write.

I suppose you tried mp to contact. Would advise to arrange a complaint and reques subject request access to provide to full update and full information with regards to application. That is completely unacceptable.

If you do SAR at least you will find out what is going on with your personal information. Also do a massive complaint to HO. And remember escalate and escalate wherever you want! Send a copy of complain to MP as well. You need to do a complaint first. If no positive reply from compliant department - arrange Government ombudsmen review!

Hi Guys,

Please a need you guys to assist me. I submitted a Naturalisation application in 2015 and it was denied in February 2016. The reason for the refusal was as a result of good character. According to the Homeoffice, they claimed I owed some VAT to the HMRC and that I had not made any attempt to pay the money off and at such my citizenship application was refused. I did not bother to challenge their decision as I got the refusal letter late because it was sent to my old address.

Now my problem now is, I submitted a fresh naturalisation application on september 29 this year and today I received a letter from the Homeoffice saying I should send them evidence that my account with the HMRC has been settled or proof that I am making payments to clear this debt. Before I made this fresh application, I spoke to the HMRC and they stated that I do not owe them any money and that my account is clear with them. Two HRMC staff gave me the information over the phone just to be sure. I was not satisfied as it was weird to me that the Homeoffice denied my previous application based on information from the HMRC that I owed some VAT returns. I was assured by the two HMRC staff and to be sure, they told me to write online enquiries to the VAT Written Enquiries team. The VAT enquiries team sent me an email stating that I do not owe any VAT money. As a result, this gave me the confidence to apply for my naturalisation again.

My question now is this, is the email from HMRC VAT Enquiries team stating that I do not owe any money enough proof to send to my caseworker? Will caseworker accept email from HMRC as a proof? I need quick answer as my caseworker said they need to receive the proof by the 23rd or my application will be refused. I have spoken to two staff from HMRC already today and they assured me that I do not owe them any money and they told me they will see if they can send me a letter using their letterheaded paper but it may not get to me in time for me to send to the Homeoffice. So, should I print out the email and send to caseworker today and if the official letter comes from HMRC on time, i can send that too as a back up. Please give your advice.

Please help me.

My two cents:
I would suggest that you send the email that you received from HMRC to your case worker, explaining the situtation. If the email from HMRC has a signature or non-generic contact details, better. Case workers are not robots, I don't think. If the official letter arrives from them in good time, then that is a bonus.

Thank you, I have typed out a letter to my caseworker explaining that I only have email evidence and that I have requested for an official written letter from the HMRC VAT Debt team and I will send the official letter from HMRC as soon as it gets to me. In the meantime, I will send the email proof to my caseworker, hopefully that will be enough to approve my application. I feel angry that my previous application was denied in 2016 based on a mistake from HMRC.

I think you should have used secured delivery. I am sure that will be faster and you would have been able to track your certificate. However, there is nothing wrong with standard and you should receive it soon. Just explain to your caseworker and you should be fine.
