Hey azdino7
I have been waiting for Exactly 1 year my local mp approached them twice but they are not giving time scale.in October I received a letter from home office saying there’s exceptionally complex issues with my application so they need more time to make decision

I would if I were you. I would request for a detailed one so to have an understanding of what checks have been done and possibly have an idea of what is causing the delay, however I am not an immigration adviser it is just something I would definitely do. All the best

Hi everyone,
I applied for Naturalisation as British citizen in the middle of August 2019 and I sent them an email to provide me with an update and they responded that my application will take more than 6 months to be processed.
Could you advise me when is suitable to do SAR? Now or after 6 months from date of submission.
Thanks.

Hi it's been over 3 months since I submitted my application so I thought I would try and ask for an update. I emailed
NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk
Is that the right email or should I email
NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gov.uk?
Thank you

They are the same email addresses - GSI is the internal government communications system - both will route your email to the team.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
Please do not send me private messages asking for advice.

Hi everyone.
I applied naturalisation online for my wife and I and also MN1 for my daughter (born in the US). Three applications submitted at the same time on 21 September and we had biometrics taken in Croydon on 28 September.
Application is straightforward. I was on Tier 1 from 2007 and then ILR since 2013.
I emailed FMT over the weekend and got this response today:
------------
Applications are dealt with in application receipt date order. Therefore as the applications were received on 21 September 2019, It will take a while longer for them to be considered. Once your application is decided, you will be contacted by your caseworker.
------------
Any idea on why our application is taking a long time? I know it's not 6 months yet but I see others being approved within 1-2 months. Is it because there are 3 applications at the same time?
Any insight and advice is greatly appreciated.

I had exactly the same reply from them. By residing previous posts here, it seems the message is generic and suggest that it is a step before being allocated to a caseworkers. But then some previous post noted that they had received approval in post after a few days receiving similar email, so it’s not exactly accurate indication at all.

Hello there
May ask your opinion please?
I have applied for Naturalisation on the 23rd of August 2019 , biometrics taken on the 27th with the documents uploaded.
5 weeks ago the secretary of my MP had kindly contacted the Home Office and they advised that my case is with a case worker .
Last week I emailed the Nationaly Support team FMT and got their reply that I will be contacted by post within 21 days?
My question is from your experience guys could that letter be a request from my case worker requesting additional information or it can simply be a decisions ( positive I hope) ?
This waiting is becoming a nightmare
Thank you in advance and all the best
