Good Afternoon,

Thank you for your email.

I can confirm that a decision has now been made on your application, you should receive confirmation of this shortly, please allow at least 28 days from the date of this email.

The Home Office will endeavour to dispatch correspondence as quickly as possible, however in the current circumstances this will take longer than normal to process.

Out of your 4 posts, 3 posts have been this exact question and the email address has been posted many times in recent days. Read the thread instead of repeating the same question all the time!!

Hi all. I am one of the naturalisation applicants in a refugee route who are in a long wait. applied on July 15, 2019. I contacted HO three times (4,6&8th months). I received the same replies that they are doing their best while waiting for external agencies. I am hesitating to contact them now as they are using Coovid-19 as more excuse for the delay. I have seen some members tried to complain and get a signature from their local MP. My question, do you think to make MP write HO a letter will help the application process?

Hi Danbet,
Make a formal complaint and after a while you will receive another stupid answer from HO.
When you received that you can ask a solicitor (better to use Duncan lweis solicitors) to send a pre action letter which will cost you about £800 and at this point HO won't be able to make stupid answer anymore.(usually as I am aware they will send an apologetic letter and they ask about 2 weeks to decide on your case)
Also if you want after receiving the HO answer to your complaint you can take it to Ombudsman and you need to fill a form and send it to your MP.
MPs usually sign this form but in this method you may have to wait for longer time but it is much cheaper.

You’re so right that helped me in my Previous application. pre action is quicker you can do it yourself but you need to know the law other route is send complain by email in 21 days they will reply you if they don’t you take it to ombudsman.
I notice refugee application takes minimum 6 months to 1 year easily.

Which solicitors would you recommend for the pre-action?

hi,
Urgent Help please
i have applied on 28th if february 2020 online. they have sent me an email telling my 5year period start on 1march 2015 to 28th feb 2020.
i was out of country on 1 of march 2015 as they saying i don’t meet statutory requirements. as per my knowledge the requirements is to stay In countary 5 years and you can not be absent in country more then 90 days a year and 6 month from 5 year in that scenario i am Completing my Statutory requirements. i wasn’t aware that first day of your 5 year you need to be present in countary and they asking me apply for reconsiderrtion of application . i don’t know how to do that and what to write them. can abybody help me please.and they given me just 15 days to do that thats so short of time.
thank you.
Surely the email explained what exactly you need to do. There would also likely be an attachment for you to resign and return to HO.

The physically present requirement has ALWAYS been in place. It is nothing new.
thank you for reply

How do i pay fee for reconsideration? any idea ? because i have to contact then by post i think. i think its £372.00 i am just checking online how to apply for reconsideration just wants some clearity on it.if you know please do share with me .
thank you for your quick reply .
Have you actually been refused and received a refusal letter or have HO emailed you asking you to re-declare and resign the form and sent you the attachment? They are not asking you to apply for a reconsideration. Read the email carefully, it explains what they want you to do, i.e. resign and date the application and send it back for them to consider. They are not refusing you outright, which they can do, but have chosen to ask you to resign and redate the application form.

Reconsideration is ONLY possible if you have already been refused and you believe HO was wrong, which if you were absent from the UK, they were not.
Hi , Again
Here is the exact email saying

(However, if you wish to send the attached copy of your submitted application form back to this address, we will be able to continue our consideration. Your application date will be the date that your re-declared application form is sent back to the email address and, to avoid any further problems, the application form should be returned before -- May )
IN THIS EMAIL THEY JUST SEND ME MY online APPLICATION Form that creat pdf when we submit online. So do i need to actually print and sign it ? In form thier is no space on that where i can sign or re-date the form?
Can you please help . Thank you.

Dear All,

I have created a separate topic for refugees, who experiences the delays over 6 months. If like to take a part in the collective letter and express your interest, please refer to the topic, where we can discuss further actions and keep updated.

Kind regards,
