Tier 1 General Dependent visa (main applicant applying ILR)

Post by absk501 » Sun Jun 02, 2013 9:30 am

Hi All,

Could you please help me out with following query. Many thanks in advance for your help.

This is a bit urgent for me as I am going to book the PEO appointment this week.

If a Tier 1 General Dependent in UK is not eligible for ILR/Settlement, Can they apply for further leave to remain/visa extension under Tier 1 General Dependent category at the same time and together with Tier 1 General main applicant who is applying for ILR/Settlement? Can they apply together by PEO same day service?

Basically, I am on Tier 1 general visa and will qualify for ILR/Settlement in July,2013. My wife came to UK in Nov,2012 to join me and she doesn't qualify for ILR/Settlement as it will be just 9 months by July, 2013.

Can we apply ILR/Settlement under Tier 1 General category for me and Tier 1 General Dependent visa extension for my wife together at same-time/same-day with a single PEO appointment?

Yours faithfully,
ABSK

Yes, your wife can apply for a PBS dep extension until such time she qualifies for settlement.

oh, thanks for your reply Amber.

Can we apply together then? for example,

Can we apply ILR/Settlement under Tier 1 General category for me and Tier 1 General Dependent visa extension for my wife together at same-time/same-day with a single PEO appointment?

Hello ABSK,

Can you please let me know how did you apply your ILR and your wife's extension ? as i am in the similar situation. my ILR is coming in january and by that time my wife's 2 years will not be completed, so she will have to apply for the extension under tier 1 general migrant.

and if possible can you also let me know, did your wife had to give english language exam as well as life in the UK test for the visa extension ?

Thanks in advance
