Yes we have been waiting 8 months now and no response even to going through our MLA to ask for my husband's case to be expedited.
Ours is a SET (M) application and straightforward case. I am a British Citizen.
Postal application for Indefinite Leave to Remain sent on 29 October 2012
Biometrics done 12th December 2012
DAT 1 form requested and done 11th February 2013

Set M applications used to take much longer in the past, but it is noticeably quicker in the recent years (please see above extracts from previous threads).
And Set O applications have in the past took a much longer time too, but looking at recent trends again (please see above extracts from previous threads), they are currently processed much quicker too.
There is hope. Pray and believe.

I would still suggest anybody who can afford should go to PEO..postal applications test lot of patience.
Further your 1 yr period for Naturalization would also get delayed depending on when you get ILR.
What's your take ...

Hi ilr-tracker,
My take:
Ideally, the ILR application process should involve a face-to-face consultation. Each applicant could make his appointment online, filled in a stratification performa so that complicated cases go to designated centres with senior support. Afterall, face-to-face consultation offers the caseworker the opportunity to gather information directly from the applicant and in the event additional supporting documents are required, the applicant is given the benefit of providing them on the spot, or within a certain time frame. Thus, minimising delays related to insufficient or missing supporting documents, providing both parties (CW & applicant) the opportunity to clarify any concerns and reducing the loss of time and finances related to litigation for both the applicant and government.
Regarding naturalisation: According to Annex B, Para 7.5g of the British Nationality Act 1981 (please see extract from Damanisshallo's thread above), one should be able to apply for naturalisation 15 months from the date of ILR application if the decision on ILR was protracted by no fault of the applicant.
Hence, in your case, you would be eligible to apply for Naturalisation from 04 September 2014, with the granted ILR - in time, something to look forward to.

She was ticking unnecessary places on my form I was correcting her for the mistakes.

The only good thing I found on SCS is they are making copy of your documents and passports and hand it to you back in the same day nothing else was special.
It doesn't worth £90 in my opinion.
