You can claim Child Benefit in your name without it affecting the applications. Though, under the new rules is will not count towards satisfying the Financial Requirementlck wrote:Hi I recently got ilr and my wife has applied for her flr(m) visa. My question is can I claim child benefit for our uk born son? will it affect my wife's flr(m) application and subsequently later her ilr application? Can someone please help and answer this. Appreciate your time and help. Thank you.
If you wife is under the new rules for a spouse there are financial requirements and for such, the benefits cannot be included in calculating your income.lck wrote:Thanks Amber. I did not quite understand what financial requirement you mentioned.
Duplicate, see below.dina123 wrote:Hi I recently got ILR but my wife and a 1.5 yrs old little baby are on dependant visa. I am eligible to apply for benefit? my baby born abroad, can I claim child benefit for her?
Can anybody guide me about the above matter?
Thanks.
Yes you can apply for child benefit in your name as you're now settled. A claim for tax credits would have to be in joint names as you're a couple, neither of which would affect your partner's NRPF restriction.dina123 wrote:Hi I recently got ILR but my wife and a 1.5 yrs old little baby are on dependant visa. You can make a claim (joint) but whether you're entitled to any tax credits is a different story. It will depend on your circumstances, see here (click) to run a calculation but based on your income you're unlikely to be entitled to any tax credits unless you/your children are disabled.Babajee85 wrote:Hi,D4109125 wrote:No recourse to public funds, your question has been answered in your other thread.tonystar wrote:wht is NRPF restriction,D4109125 wrote:
