Parents Visit document checklist

Post by madhumesh » Mon Jun 10, 2013 2:08 pm

This is my parents six month visit visa document checklist, I am sponsering full expensiture for their trip including airfare. Please provide your feedback and anything if I am missing.

Docs from me:
1) Sponser letter
2) Six month payslip
3) six month bank statement
4) mortgage letter

Docs from parents:

1) Cover letter
2) Application form
3) Photographs
4) Investment proof
5) VAT registration for his self employed business(it's small)

Just few clarification apart from anything anyone can suggest

My father income is under tax threshold so he do not file income tax return and he last filed return in 2010, would it be appropriate to attach?
As I am taking care of their total expenditure and I have already provided my financial details, Do he still need to prove his income? can't think of anything being self employed small business.

To be honest - what you're missing is any proof of ties to home for them.

What family are nearby? What property do they own/rent? Etc.

I'd also throw in a copy of the land registry docs for your property here in the UK.

Thanks MPH80,

They don't own any property but live in ancestral home with ownership in grandmother name. I have mentioned in cover letter that they live in joint family but not sure what kind of proof can be provided?

I have copy of land registry document as mortgage company keeps the original. is it OK to submit it?
