Violence after sending off Visa application

Post by MessyBun » Mon Jun 24, 2013 7:06 am

I helped my partner with his visa application, we just sent it off a few days ago. However, he has been a maniac and so violent since. Our son witnessed terrible things lastt. The police arrested him. I don't want to be part of the application anymore and want to inform the Home Office asap, how do I do this? Please help me.

Was this a set(m) application? If so, write a letter to the Home Office if the relationship has ended and that you wish to withdraw your support (if you do). If his application fails (it should) then he may make a claim due to family life. If he has mental health issues perhaps some compassion is needed? Though, I know how difficult domestic violence can be, stay safe.

Thank you. Yes, Set (M). Is there any way to call them? Or does it have to be via letter?

It should be in writing by recorded delivery. You could also ring them so they flag up the issue.

Please see this webpage:
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/aboutus/contact/

You can probably choose just a normal inquiries line and they will be able to direct you to the right helpline.
