hsmp extension help plz

Post by sha_80 » Wed Jun 26, 2013 11:44 am

Hi guys
I need some information regarding HSMP extension.
My friend is on hsmp and he was living in uk but he was working as estate agent of company based in pakistan and he was getting his comission paid in his account in pakistan.
Basically his job was to sell properties in pakistan to people from uk.
The HO accepted his earnings back then and issued him hsmp visa.
He is still got the same job and wants toapply for his extension.
Questions is can he still use that job and commision paid in his account in paksitan as his earnings for hsmp extension??
Please a quick reply will be appreciated .
thanks

Why can't your friend ask the question himself?

If he has used such earnings before and they were accepted, it stands to reason that the earnings may still be accepted again as long as he has concrete proof to validate these earnings.

I have never really understood why people complicate their applications by using earnings from multiple locations. If he knew he was going for an extension, why did he not get a better paying job or get a second job to augment his earnings here in the UK?

It is safer to eliminate any risk of a refusal or a complicated application if you can.

Good luck.

As for as job is concern he has got full time job in uk and the job he does as estate agent is his second job and he gets good money for that so why not ?
I hope that i have answered your questions.

There is nothing wrong in doing any kind of job. The issue I was trying to point out is that when you get paid overseas and you are physically based in the UK, it makes the application more complex for the case worker, as they would need to verify earnings from another country which can be cumbersome.

If you do a search on the forum, you will see cases where people have been successful and others unsuccessful using such earnings.

Like I stated in my earlier post, the onus is on your friend to provide the required information needed to validate the earnings made outside the UK and satisfy the case worker.

Best of luck
Regards
