How long can i get multiple Visa for Ireland

Hello, I just want to ask if anyone know about multiple visa...
I have been to Ireland 4 times and once I had multiple visa for 6 month...
Is it always maximum 6 months?
Can I get 1 year or 2 years and how?

You could get one year multiple visa if you ask for it
