Will this error in Passport Application create a problem

Hi,

I applied for British Passport last week via post office. On the last page of the form where I have to sign the declaration, I made an error in writing the date, I cancelled it BUT did counter sign the mistake. The lady at the post office accepted my application but said that they might ask for another form due to that mistake and the application may take extra time...Anyone here has an idea if such a thing is possible..?? I am in a fix now as had travel plans to Canada in mid august and am unable to purchase tickets in case I dont get the passport before flying date..??

If anyone has had any such experiences pls share or advise..??

If there is an issue, they will very soon get in touch with you. Mid Aug should not be a problem, unless you have wholesale bad luck.
