Tier 1 dependant visa advice

Post by ssk201313 » Wed Jul 03, 2013 11:18 pm

Hello,

I got my my ILR approved a few days ago based on Tier 1 - 5 years and my wife is with me as a PBS dependant. Unfortunately she did not qualify for the ILR with me as she is well short of the minimum 2 years requirement. She now needs to extend her visa in order to complete her 2 years for ILR. My question is do I have to apply for her as a PBS dependant still or can I apply for FLR as I am no longer on Tier 1. Her dates are below

VISA granted - 19 May 11
Date of entry into UK - 12 Nov 11
VISA expire 23 Jul 13

I shall be grateful for your advice.

Extend PBS Dependant leave.

Thanks Vinny. My question is that would switching to FLRM be a cheaper option as frankly the fee for PBS dependant extension is almost double that of an FLRM application. My wife has her English requirement completed already so that isnt a problem.

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to apply for FLRM via post and hopefully by the time the approval comes she will be eligible for ILR anyways which I can then apply in person at a PEO office - what do you think?

Thanks
