It seems like the email updates are useless..... I've heard quite a few cases like that; I'll at least ask them if they've sent me any correspondence, in case it got lost...

Congrats on your approval, but I dont know what you mean by your approval day is over 21 days? what's that mean? you got it approved in 2 months, which is quite fast and in any case, if it had taken longer, it wouldn't have been your fault; also you just got the approval and you have 3 months (not 21 days) to attend the ceremoney; so you haven't missed any deadline; I think either you misunderstood them or they got confused and gave you the wrong information; I'd call them again and book the ceremony.

Well, you can't call within 21 days if you get the letter 1 month later, can you? I don't think the council can tell you that they can't arrange a ceremony because of that; it sounds daft.

On another note; is it just me or HO letters are the slowest letters ever??? I usually get 2nd class letters in 2 days, maybe 3; the HO letter took 10 days to arrive, and for some people 20 o 30 days; what the heck do they do? do they send it with a pigeon? lol
Mental.

Let us know what the council says tomorrow; they'll probably say it's alright to book; they seem to be more sensible than the HO.... good luck!

Yeah, probably; I think he misunderstood the council or I hope so, because that sounds mental; have you (or anyone) heard about that 21 day rule? I have heard about the 3 month deadline, but never about 21 days; it's not written anywhere!!

I am waiting for more than 2 months and No progress so far...

Eligibility criteria: 2yrs HSMP + 3yrs Tier + 1yr ILR
Application : Family (2 adult + 1 Child)
Method of application: NCS Birmingham
Date of application: 05th July 2013
Received by HO: 09th July 2013(assuming)
Date of debit of fees: 18th July 2103
Date of acknowledgement : 27th July 2103
Date of approval: WAITING...

Anyone during the 1st/2nd week of JULY are still waiting for approval?

I am worried that something wrong happened at NCS while they took my documents copy.

thanks

Yes, my wife is waiting from 3rd week of JUly.

Her timeline is...

Eligibility criteria: Spouse of British Citizen
Application : Applicant is a spouse, married to British citizen (me) for 9 years, and she holds ILR for 7 years
Method of application: NCS
Date of application: 16th July 2013
Received by HO: 18th July 2013
Date of debit of fees: 19th July 2103
Date of acknowledgement : 23rd July 2103
Date of approval: Waiting.........

Cannot believe this whole system any more, given it is absolutely based on luck for even getting allocated to a case worker in the first place.

We had received two email replies so far, saying her application has not even bee allocated to a case worker as yet.

Such a shame and frustration, considering I have shelled out 10s of thousands of pounds on corporation tax alone just to mention one thing, just 6 weeks back literally :) ... Sorry for the ranting, but could not control saying that :)

Anyway, it looks like a lottery game, and we have nothing in our control but to wait... So we have to wait.

But one thing I will not accept to do is to run behind a MP after 6 months of time to get her application considered. I will simply leave the country and take my cash rich business to some other country who respect hard working value adding people and their family.

It seems like a lottery yet; lots of complex applications are decided a lot faster than simple ones; so it must be a matter of luck.

It makes sense; I wouldn't wanna be in a country where my citizenship application has been refused either...

I expect mine to be approved, because it's really straight forward and I clearly meet all the criteria, but if they refuse mine, I'll ask my company to transfer me to another EU country.

So its most of 2nd and 3rd week of July still waiting including me, even with systems solved, holidays over, any other reason.... Lets hope they have not bundled our application and put it in store to mature.
